YOGA
- I have never done yoga before. Will you teach to
different levels?
Fit Ventures teaches the Yogafit® style, which is a style of
yoga that is inclusive of all abilities and levels. Modifications
and props together with progressive flowing movements ensure
that your experience is safe, relaxing, and fun.
- Do I need to bring a yoga mat or any other yoga class
equipment?
Fit Ventures provides all yoga equipment, however, if you own
your own mat and are partial to it, please feel free to bring
it with you. Fit Ventures also supplies equipment for all organized
group activites (there is a nominal fee to rent equipment at
other times). Included in your venture is a weekend Activity
Pass which allows you free use of trails, ice skating pond
and the tubing hill lift.

FITNESS
& ACTIVITIES
- Do I need to do any specific physical training/exercises
to prepare for this venture?
If you are currently following an exercise regime, continue. If
not, rest assured you do not need to have specific training
for your Beaver Meadows Venture. During scheduled activities
professional instruction will offer choices for all abilities
with your safety and success in mind.
You may, however, consider coordinating your pre-trip training
with any specific goals you may have set for your venture
experience.

RESORT
& TRAVEL
- If I travel alone, is it possible to share a room?
Yes, absolutely. When you submit your reservation request
please note your interest in sharing a room. Fit Ventures
will make the rooming arrangement if there is another single,
same gender, traveler interested. You will
be charged the Shared Room rate if we are able to accommodate
your request. If not, you will be charged a Private Room
supplement.
- What is the average winter climate at Beaver Meadows?
In February there is 70% chance of daily Colorado sunshine,
an average of 6-7” of fluffy snow, and the temperature
hovers between 25-30%. All the winter activities will
invigorate and refresh your body. Warm yourself fireside
with hot cocoa when you are done.
- Can ground transportation be provided from either
Fort Collins or Denver International Airport to Beaver Meadows
Ranch Resort?
Yes. This can be arranged by Fit Ventures on
an individual basis, at an additional charge, with advance
notice (Fort Collins is located 40 miles, and Denver is
located 87 miles from the resort).
- What is the expected resort attire?
Dress for comfort and warmth. This is a ranch
resort, where casual attire includes jeans. Wearing layers
of natural fiber clothing will accommodate the temperature
variation as well as your comfort while playing in the snow. Loose
and comfortable clothing which provides ease of movement is
perfect for yoga.
- Should I purchase travel insurance?
It is advisable to purchase travel insurance prior
to leaving. There are a variety of policies which cover,
for example, accidents, illness, out of town hospitalization,
and other emergency situations. You might want to first check
with your medical insurance provider to confirm your status
to seek out-of-network care and then decide.
- Can the restaurant provide optional meals for special
dietary needs?
Yes. With advance notice (just inform Fit Ventures) the Ranch
restaurant can prepare special meals for an additional charge.
The selected meals feature a variety of fresh and tasty “down-home” American cuisine. A-la-carte
items can also be ordered off the menu at the advertised price.
